Previous iterations of the event at the World Heritage Site in Kyoto’s Nijo Castle have attracted the attention of the world; however, due to the challenges brought forth by and a six-year hiatus following the Coronavirus pandemic, the venue has been moved and ultimately upgraded to UNESCO World Heritage site Yakushiji Temple in Nara prefecture, a cultural and historic pride of Japan. Nara Prefecture was once the capital of Japan before it moved to Kyoto, and its history is deeply rooted in traditional Japanese culture. Nara is a unique place that refuses to be commercialized as aggressively as Kyoto does and retains its ancient and historically significant atmosphere. And for the first time, Yakushiji Temple, which until now has not been available to the public to host large-scale events, will be unveiled on the world stage. Special celebrations during the magic hours at sunrise and sunset in the World Heritage Site of Yakushiji Temple will make the Concorso d’Eleganza Japan the world’s most unique and unforgettable Concorso yet.
